1. If you're on a budget, always look for busy airports with high traffic to your desired destination. Then, you can simply purchase a ticket from your hometown to that busy airport for much cheaper.
2. Always travel in groups to at-risk countries
3. Before leaving on your trip, set aside emergency flight home money just in case you encounter an unavoidable issue.
4.Short on vacation time, or no PTO? Sandwich your days between two weekends to extend your vacation to 9-12 days.
5. Save money on lodging by booking an AirBnB or hostel for a few nights. You can always splurge on the last night or a few nights during your trip to enjoy some luxury living.
6.. When traveling with other people, if you do not know them, hang out a few times before your trip. Also, asses the financial abilities of all members of the trip TOGETHER prior to departing. This will guarantee you do not overspend or underspend on fun activities.
7.. Stay organized with a google drive doc for you and the other travelers. Include links to lodging, airfare, excursions, emergency contact information, and money tracking.
