As Kane travels across England, he learns that Malachi is a renegade former priest who made a pact with the Devil and unleashed a horde of demonic creatures upon the land. He also encounters a masked rider who tells him that Meredith has a destiny that must be fulfilled. Kane tracks down Malachi's men to a fortress, where he meets an old friend, Captain Beard, who leads a band of rebels. Together, they storm the fortress and rescue Meredith, who reveals that she bears a witch's mark on her palm.
Kane and Meredith flee to a nearby monastery, hoping to find sanctuary. However, they discover that the monks have been corrupted by Malachi and turned into mindless slaves. Kane fights his way to the catacombs beneath the monastery, where he confronts Malachi and the Devil's Reaper. Malachi reveals that he needs Meredith's blood to unleash Hell on Earth and that Kane's soul is the key to his plan. Kane refuses to surrender and battles the Reaper, who turns out to be his own brother Marcus, whom he had left for dead in Africa.
Kane manages to free Marcus from Malachi's control and together they face the sorcerer. Malachi wounds Marcus fatally and stabs Kane in the chest, but Kane pulls out the blade and impales Malachi with it. As Malachi dies, he triggers a self-destruction spell that causes the monastery to collapse. Kane and Meredith escape with Marcus' body, while the masked rider appears and salutes them. The rider is revealed to be an angel who has been watching over Kane and Meredith.
Kane buries his brother and decides to continue his fight against evil. He bids farewell to Meredith, who joins a group of Puritans heading for America. Kane dons his signature hat, coat, and pistols, and rides into the sunset. ec8f644aee
